The new owner has ruined what used to be a great donut store. I'd drive 45 minutes to buy donuts there because I haven't been able to find a better donut shop in southern California. But yesterday, I made the 45 minute trip for the last time. The donuts used to be big, they had a lot of frosting on them, and they had this amazing donut that was glazed and then dipped in either chocolate or maple that were outstanding. Unfortunately, the owner retired and sold the donut shop to her nephew and he's ruined the business. Now they're just like every other donut shop. The donuts are smaller, they're very greasy, they now only have a small amount of frosting on the donuts, and he decided to no long offer the glazed donuts dipped in chocolate or maple. I also think he changed the Fritters donut recipe because they no longer taste as great as the recipe they had before. Their donuts have always been expensive, but it was worth it because the donuts were so amazing. Now they're still expensive but it's not worth it because the donuts are just like the crap donuts at every other donut shop, and so I won't be back.

I used to tell people that Fosters donuts made the best donut you’d ever eat. The chocolate frosted donut was life changing. The frosting was simply incredible. You’ve never tasted anything like it on a donut. Sadly now, you never will again. They changed recipes. The donuts are totally average and so is the frosting. It’s a shame because those donuts were good enough that you could have raised prices to keep the quality and still make money. Now I’d never buy another donut from there again.

Donuts are not bad but definitely not what they used to be. Especially the apple fritter and my favorite the triple chocolate one. I just went today and ordered a few donuts with a dozen donut holes. Idk why they gave me 5 little separate bags instead of a box but the chocolate and glaze was mostly on the wrapper so I couldn’t enjoy the glaze.

Dunkin'...? Trash. Voodoo Donuts...? Overpriced and gimmicky. Krispy Kreme...? Good, but Foster's is actually better. Let me explain. Walk in and it seems like another basic strip mall donut shop that sells lottery tickets. But this family is one of the best kept secrets in the SCV. Like the other reviews say, their chocolate icing is ridiculously good. Both cake and yeast donuts are fantastic. Apple fritters the size of manhole covers. Bomb!

You will NOT find a better donut than at Foster's Donuts here in the S.C.V. It can't be done, I tell ya! Do they have conveyor belts drizzling hot glaze over thousands if not millions of donuts, like the Big Boys do? Heck No! This mom and pop shop does it the old fashioned donut way! Excellent selection if you come early. Not too mention they have all kinds of Hot Items as well as almost any drink you can Imagine!! Give Foster's a Try and I Guarantee You, you won't be sorry!
